Unity Forum UnityAnswers OpendID Login

Google Chrome thankfully saved my OpenId login so I dare not logout because the option to use login.unity3d.com/myUsernameHere is not working anymore for the manual OpenID URL.

My Profile says this is my OpenID provider

OpenId login.unity3d.com/paste120

When attempting to login i get this error

Unable to log in with your OpenID

No OpenId endpoint found.

I cant login on anyother machine or even in a diffrent web browser on the same machine. Anybody have anyideas ?

Same here. I am having this trouble ever since they updated the forum login. I am connected through the cookie stored in Chrome.

Unity Finally fixed the problem.

Find your profile and click "Is this your account?" Enter your Email

It will send you a email that will log you in. All you need to do from there is add another OpenID. I'm hosting my own now so I'm not relying on the one Unity removed anymore.

I just found a work around for this one. Go to your profile page. Click on "Add OpenID" next where it says "REGISTERED USER". Now add a new openID using Gmail or anything else. Without logging out of here, just try signing in from another browser. I just did that and it works for me now. I can use the other openid(gmail in my case) everywhere.

This is just the workaround for people who already have their Precious Cookie saved. For other, I hope Unity looks into this.

Hmmmmmm ...

You are currently logged in.

Do you want to log out and log in as this OpenID?

https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id?id=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

if it doesnt work ... Im stuck forever :/

Do that in another browser. But merge your current OpenId with that of your gmail. I don't think OpenID will remove their Gmail login.

But thats the thing ... you have I have to log into this account to do that and I cant because Unity Removed it. I logged into the other one and it created one :/
