Scale GameObject in Scene view

hey i'm trying to scale a GameObject on only one of it's faces. I want to have this object (a wall) scale on the x axis for example, until it reaches an intersecting wall, and snap to said wall. How do i do this? I can't seem to find any relevant information on this being able to be done. Is there really no easy way to do this? How do i do it, at all? Unity doesn't really expect me to mess around with child-parent relationships, pivot points and manually inserting x,y,z values just to be able to scale a wall and snap to another wall, does it?

Yes, yes it does. The price you pay for flexibility is complexity.

that's all nice and all, but it seems to be a shortco$$anonymous$$g. i get the complexity stuff, but the program allows the vertexes snapping with simplicity, scale, rotation, etc, all with simplicity. the complexity excuse doesn't really roll with me. thanks for the answer, though.

Not at all. If you want it to be able to snap like that, you can build your own inspector and gizmos to handle the conversion. That's the benefit of flexibility.
