Is there any way to load a movie file from asset bundles for android only
Hello Everyone, According to manual http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/class-MovieTexture.html There are no movie textures in android or iOS . For mobiles movie could be played by
Handheld.PlayFullScreenMovie
My question is if I want to download an asset bundle with movie file in it. Is there any way to throw the video file to streaming assets folder? Or Is it possible to directly play video coming from asset bundle
Please help me with this. I'll be grateful. Thanks in advance

i guess after you download an asset bundle, it's already loaded in RAM and you can directly use anything in it. But i haven't done something like this so i am not sure. Maybe you should download the movie individually, because it's big. Beside, you can't save files into streaming asset folder in some platform. You should save files in Application.temporaryCachePath or Application.persistentDataPath.
In my projects, we use AVPro to play movie. It's expensive. But it gives us flexibility. It can stream several movie format. It can return a texture to unity so that we can use it in scene. and it support all platforms, even mobile. https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/56355
