Unity lightning problem (wood)
Hello,
I'm trying to achieve a realistic wood texture on Unity, but the lightning keeps ending up somewhat off, mostly too bright and glossy. I've been playing around with material shader options, and this is the closest i've come to the wanted result (using nature/tree soft occlusion shader): https://ibb.co/dgDaHm note: on the left side result in Unity, on the right - textures that i used and the result i'd like to get. The textures themselves are high quality.
It looks like there's some weird normal displacement going on. Have you tried not using normal maps (if you are), and setting the smoothness to 0?
Seems like your skybox is taking over. Go to Window>Lighting>Settings. Change Environment Lighting Source from 'Skybox' to 'Color' and reduce the color value to darker until you are satisfied. Cheers !
