Shadows between modular models
Heyas, I'm trying to create a modular model set to quickly create levels in Unity, but I just ran into a problem with lighting. Directional light casts awkward shadows between the modular objects even if they are seamlessly placed next to each other.
I tried meddling with the Directional Light's settings. Lowering the bias made the shadows disappear, but also ruins the shadows on other objects. Are there any good fixes for this, or should I make two directional lights and the other only hits these models and the other hits everything else?
Hi, sorry to bump this so many years later but did you ever find a solution to this problem? I'm currently having the same issue.
Sadly, no. We ended up using an asset from Asset Store which uses fake lights and the 3D face's color was defined by the face's direction and position. The asset was 'COLR – Coloring Redefined'.
