How to display UI text elements for HTC Vive?
Hello there!
I was just wondering if UI text elements are displayed in the same way on a HTC VIVE as they are with a 'normal' maincamera?
For example, if I assign an UI text element in the right upper corner of my scene, would that text also be displayed there, using a HTC VIVE?
I tried several times, but had no acceptable result so far..
I don't know the vive, but I know how Unity displays stuff, through cameras, which means, yes, it should work the same way. the question is if the vive hosts it's own Camera in a unity scene and if the UI is configured properly for it. btw., what's a not acceptable result?
I used the CameraRig from the S$$anonymous$$m VR Plugin. Then I'll have to check the configuration again.. It simply means it doesn't work at all lol You see, I followed this tutorial here. $$anonymous$$y problem is actually that I don't know where to assign my script to. Since in the tutorial they have a player object which I don't have. I use only the camera. So do I have to assign my script to my camera? To be clear, I only used the UI text class and created the function mentioned in the tutorial.
