InputField doesn't recognize Space character (using WebGL)

Hello,

I have an input field in an application I have built for WebGL. When running in a browser the field does not recognize the Space character. If I run the application in the editor it works fine.

It used to work in Chrome and IE but not in Firefox. Now it doesn't work in either browser. Pressing the space bar seems to generate a Page Down in the browser.

Edit: I have set a Listener up on the input field using :

 mainInputField.onValueChanged.AddListener(delegate { ValueChangeCheck(); });

In the ValueChangeCheck() function I write a note to the console. That note is not written when the Space character is entered - it is written for other characters,

Could this be related to something on the web page that "steals" the space character? The unity manual says that the input field should get all input as default.

Any ideas?

I recommend filing a bug report in parallel to this question. sounds like a bug to me.

This is an old, very old issue. Filing a bug with Unity is as good as sending a love letter to /dev/null. One can dream though.
