Simulate character torso rotation in 2d game
In a 2d platformer, I want to simulate the character's torso sprite rotation around its "y" axis.
The angle could vary, it is not fixed, meaning that the rotation would depend on how much the key to rotate is pressed or how much the mouse is moved (and the torso "following" the mouse position). So the body could sometimes "rotate" at 10 degrees, sometimes at 20, 30 or up to 90 degrees.
What is the best way to achieve this?
