Problems setting up Unity & Gear VR for development on Mac
These are the instructions I followed.. http://www.samsung.com/us/samsungdeveloperconnection/developer-resources/gear-vr/apps-and-games/setup-mac-os-x.html
and then I tried to build a Unity project in this tutorial http://www.samsung.com/us/samsungdeveloperconnection/developer-resources/gear-vr/apps-and-games/exercise-1-creating-a-unity-project.html
But I get this error Assets/OVR/Scripts/OVRManager.cs(23,43): error CS1029: #error: 'Oculus Utilities require Unity 4.6.'
I Googled around and found threads like this suggesting installing different versions, https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/game-engines/latest/concepts/unity-req/
But I still have the same problem.
Also, regarding the tutorial, I couldn't locate this file, VrSamples/Unity/UnityIntegration/UnityIntegration.unitypackage
So I used this instead,
SDKExamples.unityPackage
Surely someone else is using a Mac to develop Unity projects for Gear VR, could you enlighten me as to the setup process, and versions of Unity, SDKs etc that you are using, Many thanks!
Glenn.
