How to Rotate FPS Camera independent of Parent Player Object while WallRunning ?
I am making a WallRun script for my FPS game that uses Unity's inbuilt Character Controller. My setup
Camera is a child of the Player (character Controller Object)
Input Axis "Mouse X" rotates the parent Player Object
While Entering WallRun State I want the player rotation to be locked and move my camera independent of the parent Player rotation ( This is so my wall detection Ray casts don't mess up)
When I rotate my camera instead of my character in wallrun mode the camera just stutters and does not rotate since it is mimicking parent objects rotation which should be locked.
I want to make my camera view left right while wallrunning without changing characters rotation.
