Animation help / possibly a bug,Help needed with animation. Bug?

Hi, would anyone be kind enough to tell me if this is a bug or something I've done wrong. As you can see it is meant to be a simple animation of a door opening and closing when I press E inside the opaque trigger.
However I am confused why the door floats mid air and rotates at an angle when I click the game preview button. Is this a bug or my wrong doing? I am very new to unity so I feel its something I may have done.
If additional information is needed to find a solution I can provide. I would be very grateful for any help.

Hi John. There's not really enough info in the video to tell what the cause is but here are a few possible causes: - Double check your animation component for the door. Test it without being in play mode to see if it is working properly. (If that's the cause simply add the doors position in the animation and change it to default.) - If not, make sure one of your parent objects of door are not the cause. I can see 'door trigger' and 'door_wood' as two possible objects immediatly that could be causing it.
Its possible there's code that's making it flip sideways also. If you can't find the problem make a video showing the positioning of the door objects in and out of play mode (select the objects), and show the animation clip that's attached to the door. Also provide any scripts relating to the door in any way.

Hi @Sgt_Spike , Thanks for responding. I found out that the Apply Root Motion box must be checked. Im not sure of the reason why, but it fixed my problem.
