Hi ,I'd like to know , is there a tool that is available that will allow for a player in game to create their own character just like in Sims4 the game ?

I'm trying to create a game sort of like The Sims4 . I need to be able to create a fairly decent looking avatar as well as be able to change the clothing of the avatar from a category of different clothing. Then have an animation play so that you could see how you'd look in game. I've looked at some content on the asset store , but the closest thing i found was a medieval setup , looking for something more modern.

Any such system is very dependant on the piece of software you are creating. I would advise you to make your own avatar creator.

The task is simply huge. You mentioned Sims4, so I assume you mean "generation of mesh" kind of avatar creation; not just switching out clothes. So if there's somewhere you could start it'd be - $$anonymous$$aking some placeholder sliders and buttons in UI - Reading up on $$anonymous$$esh generation in Unity in general - Researching the possibility to sculpt models in-game with clever weights in 3d-model rigging from for example blender
