GUIText shows only in one camera (not the others)

Is it possible to have a GUIText object displayed only in one camera, and not all the cameras?

Have you tried deleting the GUILayer component in the cameras you do not want it in?

You can do this by assigning the GUIText to a specific layer. Open the list of layers from a gameObject and enter a new name for one of the layers, one that can describe every GUI object you want to only appear on that camera. "FPSCamOnly" or etc.

And then set the other cameras' Culling Masks to not see that layer, in the Camera settings in the Inspector.

Voila! Or I guess not.
