Unity 4.5.5 Editor Stuck at Splash Screen
I was working with Monodevelop on my project.
It started to ignore breakpoints, so I tried closing it , and Unity, but to no avail.
I have restarted the PC, but after the restart Unity Editor remains stuck at the splash screen.
The process is idle, consuming only 14 mb of memory, and it does nothing.
I tried reinstalling, I tried following the steps (uninstall, delete license , delete from app data, delete everything from registry), did a clean install, still the same. Stuck at splash screen.
There is nothing I can do more. How should I fix this????
If you hold down the Alt key while Unity is starting, can you pick another project and/or start a new project. I.e. is the problem related to the current project that Unity is attempting to open?
Hi, try forcing a re-import & recompile by deleting the /library directory before launching Unity (do a backup copy first of the whole project directory !!!)
I've tried deleting all files, all projects, do a full clean reinstall so as not to start with a project loaded, and still it did not work.
I've also read somewhere that if you unplug your internet connection it might work. Did that, still nothing.
Got mad and left the Unity at the splash screen the entire night, with no internet connection.
In the morning it was started, asking me for a manual license. I have no idea how long it took to start (I can say for sure a $$anonymous$$imum of 2 hours before I went to sleep).
Anyway since then it started working so I'll just file this under the Twilight Zone category.
Thank you ^^
