Natural light
I try to set up the right lighting. Yes, I know, there are many threads around that, but what I try with the values of directional lighting and the ambient and reflections settings, I just can't get a usable result.
It's importand in my game, that indoor areas are dark. From pitch black to slightly lightened through indirect sunlight. Outside it should be bright.
That's how natural light looks with a dark area:
That's how my scene looks with no ambient light:
The problem is, as soon as I turn on ambient light or reflections, the tunnel is lighted up too, but on the opposite, if I turn them off, outside looks like nothing natural.
How can I approach a setting that looks like daylight?
I think I don't know the exact answer but some of my mates did resolve this type of problems either by Deferred lighting or by baking .. or might be with the combination of both. It's just a hint. I never get chance to do the something like this
