change a image into a mesh
I have a png image which has a transparent background, i want to make a plane mesh of the only the non-transparent part, is there a standard method to do that?

The only Framework I know - which can do that - is a Farseer Physics port to Unity http://u3d.as/content/cats-in-the-sky/farseer-for-unity/359 But it's based on Box2D and has nothing to do with PhysX. May be it's possible to strip out the relevant parts if you don't need the Physics. Doing it on your own would mean to find the transparent edge, create the mesh vertices and triangulate the mesh.

I'm probably going to have to do this myself. I found this: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/#/content/10063
Has anybody used this tool? There seems to be very little info on it and no website, or means to contact the developer.
