Unity 5.2.2f1 does not start (Windows 10)
Hey guys!
I recently bought a new pc with windows 10 x64. I used Unity before, on windows 7 and had absolutely no issues. Nut now, when I try to start it - I get just the black screen instead of a menu where I can choose existing project or start a new one. First I thought that antivirus can block connection somehow and that is the problem, but adding to exceptions did nothing at all. Reinstalling wasn't much helpful as well. Would really appreciate some help or advice)
Screenshot of what I see when try to start Unity
hm maybe try to start it in windows 7 compatibiltiy mode. (sry cant help more, im not using win 10)
Not yet, I'm out of town for several days and didn't try option with compatibility mode yet, did you try and nothing happend?
Yes, I tried compatibility mode for Win7 but still got the same. Another thread suggested that it was firewall based due to the log in screen not appearing. I allowed the unity.exe program through but dont know if there's another process / app that needs allowing... or even how to do that
Hi, I just downloaded Unity 5.5.2f1 (64 bit) and cannot get it to work. Why does this problem exist after so many notifications? Can anyone help. I spent ages on this already..

Anyone else facing this issue with Windows 10 or has a fix been found?

I found packages unityeditor-cloud-hub-xx.xx.xx.tgz (xx.xx.xx <--version) and unity-editor-home-xx.xx.xx.tgz in C:\Program Files\Unity\Editor\Data\Resources\Packages. Create folders node_modules\unityeditor-cloud-hub and node_modules\unity-editor-home in C:\Users\%user_name%\AppData\Roa$$anonymous$$g\Unity\Packages. Extract dist and package.json from unityeditor-cloud-hub-xx.xx.xx.tgz into unityeditor-cloud-hub, dist and package.json from unity-editor-home-xx.xx.xx.tgz into unity-editor-home. It's work.:) Thanks, Yash987654321!

Do you know what does it mean terms like crash.dmp and error.log? I have windows 10, but i can not start Unity 5.5.1 and those things appear in "unity crash report bug" launcher. I do not know how I could fix it. Somtething solution? I treid to reinstall, turn on compability in properties on Windows 7, lower version of Unity, changed packages.
