Unity on 64 Bit Win 7

Every time I run Unity on my new PC, there is a message that states "Your 64 bit Windows installation is missing an important service pack patch. Please apply http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976038 to ensure stability." I visited the site and requested a hotfix download but on the download site, you need a username and password which I was not given. I want to know what I can do about it or should I just ignore it.

Here are my PC Specs: Intel Pentium @ 3.20 GHz 6GB RAM 1TB Hard Drive 64 Win 7 Home Premium Nvidia GeForce 210 Graphics Card

I had that error some time ago. Now it is gone. Strange times indeed. ;)

You don't need a username and password to download a hotfix from microsoft... Go to the link again and this time read carefully.. or just run windows update and the hotfix will be applied for you.

Yes, Win7 SP1 includes the hotfix.
