How would I go about creating a Sandbox/Engine on top of Unity (Gmod, Core)
I am trying to create a game engine running on top of Unity, like what Manticore did with Core
Would it be possible to use Unity's Scripting API (gameobjects, fbx importing,)
Buy Unity Assets and make them usable in-game engine
How would I display editing windows, hierarchy, and inspector
The engine would basically be a running Unity Project. I figure number two might be feasible since in theory, the Unity runtime runs on the same principles as the editor. I would like to be able to integrate custom inspectors and windows (I would design the UI of course) as well as features of the Unity Editor such as HDRP, GameObjects, and DOTS
If I were to create a coding language, it would be a C# Scripting API Wrapper
Here is an example of an inspector inside Unity
