does anyone know how to set load type to streaming?

I need to change the load type of an audio clip I made in MonoDevelop but cannot figure out how to change the load type of the clip. Ive done everything i can think of with the audio importer class and still can't figure out how to change the load type. Maybe i'm approaching this incorrectly. Can anyone help me out? it would mean the world to me.
