How do I remove edge artifacts with shadows and AA?
I've seen several posts on things similar, but nothing specific to my issues.
When shadows are enabled along with AA, I'm getting white edges along the object in the shadowed areas. See image:
The scene you're seeing is a cube created in Unity with a normal Bumped Diffuse material. I used this to try a fix I read about using a flat normal map. Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue (and would prevent me from using normal maps).
You can see them here too with a sample that is all Unity. No modifications other than enabling shadows and AA.
I've played around with different settings for shadows, textures, and AA. Short of disabling shadows or AA, nothing is working.
Any other suggestions? Thanks!
(Note: I am using Unity Pro)
I also have this problem and I haven't been able to find a solution yet. I'm surprised no one has commented yet, must be a weird bug.
Unfortunately I never got an answer.
However, I knew I wanted to use deferred rendering and that doesn't allow normal AA. So it became a non-issue for me.
However, I think it would be nice to have a solution.
Yea maybe its our GPU's, that's what I'm starting to think. What GPU do you have? I got an nvidia 660m, it's good for a laptop but obviously not as good as desktop GPU's.
I have 2 GTX 560 Ti.
I did see another post on it a while back, but there was no solution there either.
