How can i set it up so that me and a friend can work simultaneously on a project
This may sound like an odd request but i was wondering if there was a way that we could set up a project much like how a google docs is setup so that if i type in a line of code it appears on his end at the same time. If any of you know how to set this up or could shed some light on the matter it would be great. Cheers

Try getting access to the new Unity Collaborate Closed Beta: https://unity3d.com/services/collaborate OR you can follow the many tutorials on youtube about using GitHub or other version control methods.
It's very simple and is quite powerful. Hope this helps you out!
SIDE NOTE: There's no real possible way (yet) seeing as we don't have the technology to send large amounts of data simultaneously to two different machines on the fly. So, it's not going to be like google docs where you can see the person changing things, but version control is as close as it gets.
