Question about Astar pathfinding

Hey guys I am just working on a project at the moment for Uni and I am using AstarPathfinding I have made a tower defence and I want to be able to "maze" the enemy ground units although if you attempt to maze they obviously just go out of the turret "building" area and walk straight towards the base the screen shot is an example of my issue how would I make them stay within the boundaries

I guess that you should build your "AstarPathfinding" graph so that it doesn't include the area the tanks in the picture are using.
