Unity UI arrow keys not working

I made a UI menu that works fine with the mouse to navigate, but I would like to use my arrow keys to navigate through the menu.

I saw on a video that someone made a UI menu and was able to use the arrow keys by default so I'm not sure if I disabled a input or if I set up my menu wrong.
