Just downloaded Unity and cannot make it past Sign In; Application simply closes on successful sign in
I am currently working with Windows 10 64-bit on an Alienware 14. I am attempting to use Unity 5.4.2f1 (64-bit). When I open the program it prompts me to sign in--as it should. At the top right I see: Sign In - License - Survey - Thank You. Whenever I enter the correct credentials the program simply closes. It does not freeze or gray out, nor does it produce an error message. It just closes. I checked for it in the Task Manager and it is not there. In fact, I had the Task Manager open to see what happens to it when I sign in. The process ends as soon as I click Sign In. I've also tried reinstalling it and running as Administrator to no avail.
I'm not entirely sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Uninstalled and reinstalled from the website again. After it finished installing I noticed it was now installed as 5.4.1f1. I'm not sure why it's a different version, but it works now.

I have the same issue except mine doesn't close, mine just sits there even after the blue loading bar fills up. Anyone have any advice on what is going on? I have seen multiple posts on not being able to get past the login part on the new unity update.
Have any of the other posts had any sorts of answers? I've been searching for hours and can find nothing. I've tried everything I can possibly think of.
