Question by Koramere · Mar 07, 2014 at 03:58 PM · blendersmoothshadingflat

Is there a flat shading option

Hi,

I'm working on a unity presentation involving a blender model. In blender, there are two shading options: "smooth" and "flat". If I select "smooth", this model in particular looks really crummy (which isn't something I can fix topologically). If it's set to "flat", it works just fine for me. The only problem is that when I import it into unity, it automatically applies the "smooth" look, which makes the model look crummy again. Is there a unity setting comparable to the "flat" shading setting in blender?

Thanks

This is however not true flat shading as it does not get its data from one provoking vertex but from 3 redundant vertices. Which really is wasted data, is there a method to really change the shademode in shaderlab?
