Alpha Layer Fade To Black Animation On an Inverted Sphere?
Okay, so this is a bit of a tricky one. I'm looking to make a VR game that incorporates 360 video. I've got almost everything done but I want to figure out a fade to black transition to move between scenes and videos without showing the black frames Unity adds when loading a video.
So what I've done is create a sphere with inverted normals and placed it over the camera and then deactivated it till its needed. It has an animation (non looping) attached to it that fades the alpha layer of the shader from 0 to 1 and then back to 0 when the object is activated. This works for a fade to white but I can't seem to get it to fly with a fade to black. Whichever black shader I use seems to just ignore the alpha animation and stays black with zero fade in/out animation.
Very much a noob to this, this being my first unity project. Any and all help is much appreciated.
