Standalone UI Mask
I'm trying to create a mask for a scrollview that fades towards the top and bottom parts and has full see through in the middle. The problem I run into is that most alpha masks I've encountered are applied directly to a certain image, but I want the content of the scroll view to respect a mask. How would I go about doing something likes this ? I'm entirely new to unity.
Not sure what you mean with "I want the content of the scroll view to respect a mask". As for the fading on top and bottom it is not supported on basic UI mask as it is a bitmap (0 or 1, no in between).
I mean, based on this, it should be possible. https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/50339 I'm just quite new to shaders, renderers to even know where to start.
