Algorithm for power and transmission system for vehicles?
I am trying to develop a car racing game and i am looking for some algorithms to implement engine and transmission system of a car realistically. I found this (http://entitycrisis.blogspot.in/2010/12/unity3d-wheelcollider-and-motortorque.html) article that has a pretty good approach, and i think it is pretty realistic, but i have to know if there are any other approaches to implement this system. Any idea, how AAA games like forza/needForSpeed do that?

If you're interested in a realistic simulation, Google for the book "Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics" by $$anonymous$$ D. Gillespie. It's expensive, but maybe you find a pdf somewhere...
