What is the best way to achieve local database for mobile?

Hi everyone, I am trying to find the solution for storing the data locally in my game. It is like a Quiz game which i will add more questions with updates so in the end i will have lots of questions, answers etc. I have tried XML and Sqlite a bit but i wonder if there is a better and more mobile friendly way?
