Double Key Press FPS Animator Controller
Hello, I am trying to make a character for a multiplayer fps where the character can move freely by walking, sprinting, crouching and can rotate by moving the mouse. So far, my efforts to realize this aren't very successful for a number of reasons (for which I have come to help in the forums). First of all my whole animator controller is very tedious and amateur. It is very roughly based on this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixXrW3wa6Ro . With a lot of edits and with much more animations. Here is the full code: https://hastebin.com/ijavagotif.cs
Due to using idle as a "middle man" for each animation to transition to the other causing a lot of errors, I decided to connect every node with the other (here's a picture ) which caused even more strange transition bugs. My original question was how do I add animations for when the character is moving forward - right (pressing w and d at the same time which is supposed to show a running diagonally animation) but after some questions on unity help discords and so on people have been telling me that I should redo my whole animator controller and character altogether.
Furthermore, I have no clue how to make the mouse rotate the camera and play animations for that smoothly. What do I do, create a new animator controller or fix the one I have now? For the record, I'm using animations and a character from mixamo as a test which will be replaced later as my game progresses. I'm a relative beginner unity "animator" although I am familiar with all the basic terms and the standard unity first person character.
Thanks (to anyone who's willing to help), herri
