can I implement networking using HLAPI where Host is not a player?
Hello, I was reading the HLAPI overview and found this:
Operate “client hosted” games, where the host is also a player client.
I'm beginner in networking world, but as I know it's better to make separate online server and clients connect to it, it would be harder for Hackers to change values or something like that, second reason: if the host is a player then the speed of this player internet will affect the whole game, and that's bad?
my game is very basics in networking side, it's a card game(turn-based-game), so I just need to transfer basics data between server and clients.
what I'm looking for?
If my evaluation is not accurate, then tell my why I'm wrong and if I should use the HLAPI or something else.
If my evaluation is accurate, then help me tell me what to do!
