Installing Terrain Toolkit

HI I am trying to install the terrain toolkit, I download, unzip and drop it into unity as the (brief) instructions say (bragged the folder over the project pane, I could not select the zip for an import),

"Installation instructions:

Open the Unity project you wish to use the Terrain Toolkit in and double click "TerrainToolkit_v1.0.unitypackage" to import it into your project. You may need to unzip it first."

A terrain toolkit appears, but it is full of lots (about 30) of sub-folders with long hex names 1b1e729114 etc, doesn't look right.

Also the Terrain option does not appear in my component menu, so I cannot use it.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem, is the issue with the unzip not creating a recognizable package? (using 7 zip on OSX).

Please help, I want to sue this important new addition

Yep, it was the unzip, tried another one and it created a unity package I could then use.

This happens sometimes when you import packages by double-clicking.

I usually place all of my Unity Packages in ~/Applications/Unity/Packages.

For an already existent project, put the Unity package in your project's asset directory; then, in Unity, select the "Assets Menu" and then "Import Package" (Import all). It should unwrap the package neatly in your project pane.

You should now see a Terrain drop-down under the Components menu.

When you unzip it let the go through one cycle then it will start unzipping the unity package. At that point hit cancel and it will stop. It left the package and imported properly. At least it worked for me. ;p

In OSX unzip by using StuffIt. That's my way.
