How to make a map for my openworld game ?!
my game is open world. player can drive in the city and get passenger to their destination. now i want to make a map for my game. what is the best way ? i made my map and it can show player position. but i want to show passenger position that gamer can understand where is passenger to get it. please help me. thanx.
If you would like to have a realistic map to show on your UI, I would recommend having a second, Orthographic camera. In this camera, you will have to tweak the culling setting so that it ignores things like the skybox and npcs, so you just have the terrain displayed on it. that camera would point straight down on the level. The part I don't understand yet is how to get your new camera to only show up in a small box in the lower right or left side of your screen.
If you want your own image as your map, you would have to have a texture in your GUI, which would be offset depending on your player's position.
There is a lot more to this subject that I don't know about, so I recommend you try out this tutorial, which explains it better than I can. Good luck, and welcome to unity answers!

Okay if you want a driving game, you want a flat map with straight inclines, so Unity terrain isn't your best choice. I recommend Maya and/or 3DS Max for the roads and assets and Trimble Sketchup for the buildings.
I don't understand your second question.
