[Performance] RenderForwardAlpha performance issue on Android with Unity 5.3.0f4
Hello,
After upgrading my Unity to version 5.3 (I was on the last 5.2 just before that), I've decided to make a build of my 2D Android game to test it out and check everything is fine but it's not.
In fact, I observe a huge amount of CPU used by Camera.Render > Drawing > Render.TransparentGeometry > RenderForwardAlpha.Render (~70% of the CPU) that makes the game completely unplayable. (tested on a OnePlus One)
Does anyone have an idea where this comes from ? I've seen there was OpenGL improvements so I don't think this is coming from there.
i have same problem. Galaxy S5, Android 5.0 Render is Very Slow. I was temporarily fixed it.
player setting -> other setting -> auto graphic api off -> OpenGLES3 delete. use only OpenGLES2....XD
It is operating normally, but fixed temporarily.
I was sure it has to do with OpenGL3 but I couldn't find it in the settings ! In fact I was in Edit> Graphics Emulation and it was set to OpenGL ES 2.0 so I thought it was already in 2.0 which I found strange. Anyway thanks for the solution !
I am having exact same problem.
Is there any solution for this ?
