Buttons Not Working? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, yesterday I had this problem, I fixed it and now it does not work... Here is a video describing my problem in-depth (sorry my voice is high pitched... just low quality audio input): https://youtu.be/gOqkHYiMdhU OH! BTW, I'm using 2019.2
I saw on the video you had an CanvasGroup
on your canvas. Are you sure you don't disable Block Raycast
at runtime?
Take a look at the answer I gave on the following question: https://answers.unity.com/questions/1402544/so-my-buttons-stop-working.html?childToView=1402559#answer-1402559
@Hellium it's funny, I read that answer, and I think it would be useful, but I can't figure out how to open the EventSystem's preview. :(
Select the gameObject with the event system component. At the very bottom of the inspector, you should see a dark-grey bar where it's written EventSystem
, and two horizontal lines. Click on this bar.
@Hellium I know it's late, but thanks! So basically, no matter what, it just registers for the panel I'm using for animated scene transitions...
Can you indicate which properties the animations are changing?
@Hellium I don't think they 'change' anything... They just are for scene transition, I used a script to make an animation for when a scene opens, and when one closes. Would that change anything?
WAIT! I $$anonymous$$ETED THE PANEL (and made it a prefab) AND IT WOR$$anonymous$$S! This however is still a problem. Now $$anonymous$$y scene transition doesn't work, I could go without animations, so it isn't the end of the world, but I'd like to have them... I guess the animation DO change something... But I'm not sure as to what.
Open the Window > Aniamtion
tab and select the animation used for your transitions. Can you check whether you change values of the CanvasGroup or maybe the buttons themselves?
