Using Light Probes with Shuriken
I know this may be a simple question, but I cannot find info on it in the documentation.
Is there a way to have particle emissions from Shuriken affect light probes. Examples would be explosions or laser blasts/muzzle flashes?
I don't think so. Like lightmap, light probes doesn't play with non-static objects and lights. Light probes is used to approximate the lighting of a non-static gameobject at real-time based on the lighting of the static scene.
They mention using real time lighting with light probes in this video: http://video.unity3d.com/video/2001718/advanced-shading-and-lighting
Based on what I've read, and what you said, I'm guessing the real time lighting is just affecting the model like normal light and stacking on top of the light probe (so not actually using the light probes)?

Yup, I think this is the way it works.
