[HELP] Is it possible to export a 2D tilemap as an image?
Hello everyone. Short version: Do you guys know if there is a way to export a tilemap as an image?
Long version: I ask because I want to draw my tilemap with all the capabilities that Unity provides, but I would like to draw a collider layer on top of it using tiled (another program)
Why not draw that layer in unity? Because unity will create a single gameobject on every single block that I draw (which includes a transform) and when you draw a whole collision map it isn't efficient performance-wise. I could play with the size of the collider itself, but that is prone to errors. Tiled will fuse all the colliders that are touching each other into one big polygon gameobject and it is way more efficient. Then I can export that collider from tiled and import it to unity.
[Edit] Why not use a composite collider? Because using a composite collider implies that there must be children gameobjects with colliders so the parent Can fuse them together. I want to avoid having a bunch of gameobjects in the scene and tiled just does that.
