Unity won't load. Stops at starting server on unity package manager.
I put up a fresh install of unity on my machine, after not using it for 2 years.
However, when ever I try to run anything project or tutorial, it starts up the unity package manager and hangs at starting server.
I do not have a proxy, and I added localhost to be mapped 127.0.0.1 in my hosts file. (These were solutions I tried looking for online)
I have also tried the Unity 2017 LTS version, but same problem.

Problem solved. I told windows 10 to do a Network reset, to reset my network settings and reinstall my network drivers. After that, it fixed it.

I have no idea how it's related or if it will be of help to anyone else with this problem, bt on my windows 10, I just switched from power saving mode to Balanced and it works just fine now

The workaround for me was to create an environment variable UNITY_NOPROXY with the value localhost.
