Advice for Fixed Camera System
A new dev here. Limited coding experience and just starting out in unity, about a couple weeks in. I'm currently messing around with trying to get a survival horror PS1-esque game to work. I successfully got my tank controller down but am having a hard time figuring out how to get fixed camera angles to work.
I wrote a short simple script following this tutorial. However I'm having a bug where when the angle changes if you stop walking immediately and back pedal it's possible to stay on the first camera and go out of range and hence walk out of view. In a horror game I feel this would happen often due to lots of backpedaling.
I had the idea of following either this tutorial using a single camera that jumps around or this one that uses Cinemachine. Again I have very limited experience with this and am just fooling around with simple prototyping before getting down anything serious.
Also as a side note if anyone has some experience or could point me in the right direction of tutorials for adding pre-rendered backgrounds to unity that would be awesome.
