Photon position syncing
Hello :) ,
I am new to Photon Network scripting and I have, hopefully a little, problem with position synchronization. My game is 1v1, multiplayer, so I need very accurate synchronisation of the projectiles position (max. 15 projectiles at the same time). Despite base script for shooting works fine, in multiplayer, opponent's projectiles spawn at the different position, than it should, so the problem is probably at the Photon sync side. ...I appreciate any kind of help, for additional informations write a comment, I will write back very soon, thx a lot :)
Hi,
did you take a look at the Synchronization demo which is included in the PUN package? The demo shows some different ways to handle synchronization. $$anonymous$$aybe you want to pick one of them.
If your projectiles are physics objects you can also take a look at Photon TrueSync from the Asset Store. This however needs some extra time since you have to do some adjustments to your existing source code.
Sorry, It's been year since I didn't reply, but I was trying implement Photon TrueSync into my project and the projectiles finally work! But I have one another question... I read TrueSync documentation and I didn't figured out if is TrueSync good for syncing like 50 blocks, with Rigidbody2D and BoxCollider2D components, too.
Sorry, I'm not very familiar with TrueSync. Please ask your question over here to get detailed and satisfying answers to them.
Thx :) , I will take a look, when I get home... I will write the result as well.
