What are these dots?
Hi,
How to remove the weird dots in my scene? Im using Unity 5
I don't know anything about your project, and I'm sure 90% of people won't be able to help you. We need to know more. Are there scripts in your scene creating those? Is it a UI element? We can't simply help you based off of a single picture. I wish we could, but we can't.
Its a new project. I didn't put any script. I just put an image in the canvas. Suddenly the dots appear. When i close the scene tab, and open it again, the dots are gone. Then after few $$anonymous$$utes, the dots reappear.
it could be a near/far clip plane error. Check the near and far clipping planes on your camera, adjusting your image placement accordingly. If that is not the issue, try a different rendering mode, this can be changed for the single camera in its camera component, or globally in the quality settings.
I'm having the same issue here (ver 5.4.4f1). Still looking for answers.

Ever since I upgraded to Unity 5.4 and above I've had the exact same problem - the assets you put inside don't matter. The dots just appear & if you move any object a trace of dots is left behind on the path it was moved. It's some kind of buffer overflow I believe because it's only for in-editor view. The moment you hit the "Play" button the scene gets cleared and everything looks normal. But after you stop it in about 20 seconds the screen is full of dots again. It's really annoying that I need to constantly press the play button in order to see what my scene looks like
Hey what I do to constantly remove the dots is by resizing the scene tab. Just drag to resize it slightly. Yes pressing play button is annoying! The dots appearing generally is annoying!
