Importing Asset package Crash - Unity 5.3.5f1
Hey Folks,
I'm working on a mini-game project that was abandoned and I don't have contact with the original people who started it (it's not possible to be in contact with them). The Minigame is part of a larger project, but since the minigame has not been touched in over a year it's assets are badly out of synch with the full-project. The large project is built in 5.4.2 and the minigame is in 5.3.5
In order to cut corners and avoid putting a lot of things together , I tried exporting a large package of all the assets, prefabs and scripts from the major project (in order to have all the dependencies). When importing into the minigame, UNITY crashed and I can no longer open the project folder (luckily I have backups).
Would the large size be the problem? The mismatched versions?
Is there a better way to export just the prefabs and assets that they require instead of a high-volume package?
Thanks in advance!
