Graphic Raycast Bug in Unity 5.4

I'm working on a VR User Interface based on where the user looks It used to work in Unity 5.3 but with unity 5.4, the Event Trigger scripts won't work unless the mouse pointer is visible. It still works using a virtual pointer attached to the EventSystem. Any ideas? Thank you
