My unity crashes after 5mins of opening the project!
Please help me .Please be a angel sent out of heaven .I'm using the 2017.1f1.0b version of unity,and after 5mins of opening my project it completely crashes .Pls help!Or I am going to hurt myself,because I spent lot of work on my project
Dont worry, even if the unity editor is crashing, all the scripts and assets for your project are still in a folder on your computer. you probably wont lose anything you are working on.
Its probably just a bug you are having with your computer. You can literally delete the unity editor, uninstall it and reinstall it, and your project will be fine.
more details would be good. Does unity crash as soon as it is loaded, or does it take a few moments? is there an error message? can you see any info in the console before it crashes? What were you doing before it started crashing?
Basic stuff to try 1. Run unity as administrator (start with the easiest step first) 2. As you launch unity, hold down the alt key to open the new project wizard. open your project from this instead 3. if that dont work then Update your drivers 4. if that dont work then Check your anti virus program and add an exception for unity 5. if that dont work then go into the assets folder for your project and rename the currently active scene, whatever scene is opening when unity crashes. this way unity will open onto a blank scene and you might be able to work out what is going on 6. if that dont work then run unity in compatiblity mode 7. if that dont work then https://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-xp/disable-turn-off-dep-windows/ 8. contact support@unity3d.com.
