How can players download PC/Mac game updates from me?
Currently, whenever I update my game I email customers a download link to a .zip file, telling them to overwrite the existing installation of the game. Is there a better way?
I have built an update notification on my game's main page. When the user clicks on the notification, it opens their browser to an html page with a download link, which is far better than getting an email.
Ideally, I would like users to click a "download the update" button in the game, which will open File Explorer (or Finder on Mac) and allow players to download the file directly. How would I do this?
I've tried to use the WebClient class and its method DownloadFile. However, I can't tell if and where its downloading to.
