Emission Glow with Unity UI
I was trying to do emission glow with Unity's uGUI buttons, panels, and sprites and was wondering if it's possible to apply the same emission effect to them as the Unity 5 Standard Shader?
Hi
Did you find any solution? I would like to join your question... Is there glowing effect in new UI in Unity 5.3?
$$anonymous$$aybe try this: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/932093/make-2d-sprites-glow.html
Or this plugin: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/25933
Besides that, I don't really have a solution yet.

Please try this (if you didn't) :

Hi
The idea of using pre-made sprite with its glowing condition is possible, however, I personally don't like it, as light itself give you much more flexibility and reality. It feels different then sprite. What is more I can change entire theme color scheme in settings dynamically, but sprites have to be pre-made. And I can implement light pulsation with glowing by changing brightness or changing color itself...
So in my case I would prefer to use some sort of new shader which would allow me to light up any (like glass) icon with emulated LED light
Ohh...
great .. I just thought until you got a solution, you can relay on the given solution
