Unity Answers Statistics
A lot of opinion is often thrown out in the moderators space that doesn't get anywhere...I want to change that and add some facts about our current situation. Feel free to add your own stats, but please try to not get into any debates (just post your own measured statistics) and be concise so that this can be a "clean" question.

Default Space
3,500 Q's with < 0 votes
75,000 unanswered Q's
222,000 Q's
more than 3,000 Q's with < 0 are over a year old (85%)
50,000 unanswered Q's are over a year old (66% of unanswered Q's)
Help Room
25,000 Q's
12,500 unanswered Q's
I'm not sure how to get this one, but "Active $$anonymous$$oderators" might be interesting. Not sure what useful criteria would be -- something like "Handled 10+ $$anonymous$$od Q items last week" or "moved/closed/converted 10+ Qs" in the last week.
Sometimes I get the feeling that in any given week at most 2 or 3 mods do any mod stuff. And maybe most new ones quit after a month.
RE: default/Help room: the help room is only 15 months old, and every Q there was explicitly put there (OP used the dropdown, or mod moved.) Whereas I guess many of the unanswered/0-vote Qs in default probably really belong in the HelpRoom (either new Qs incorrectly sent to default, or pre-HelpRoom Qs that should never have been published under the old rules.)
One way to do this is to look at a sampling of users with moderation privileges. Then look through their recent activity, and find moderation activity.
Edit: $$anonymous$$oderation activity doesn't show up for publishing Q's (although it does show converting answers to comments and moving Q's between spaces). These two could be used together to get a fair estimate of "active mods."
