Why does changing friction values to the same ones change the wheelCollider's behaviour?
Hi. I'm experimenting with wheel colliders and I'm having trouble understanding what is happening with friction. My current friction settings are probably wrong anyway, but I can't find the correct ones because of this.
Scenario:
After hitting play and driving the vehicle is drifting like crazy and the wheels do a lot more RPMs than they need. However, selecting all the wheelColliders (while still in play mode) and changing any of their friction values (even to the same one) through the Inspector changes their behaviour dramatically - less drifting, less RPMs. Changing them through scripting does not do the same.
It does not matter if the starting values are set through a script or not.
Did I find a bug, am I stupid, or what?
I'll be happy to provide more details, if needed.
Furthermore, if I reset those values to some "original" object's in each FixedUpdate(), nothing changes.
Changing (even for this one physic frame) the values on wheels themselves changes their behaviour, while changing the "original's" does not.
