Unity Command Prompt?

Hey guys, i have been coding c++ the last week or so and have been using opengl and so on, and i was wondering, can unity use " AllocConsole(); " to bring up the command prompt? I tried to do it in unity but it wont recognise it and i am not sure what import it is part of, if any. I want to use CMD for debugging outside the editor, for like loading and notifying the user of what is happening. Is it actually possible to use CMD with unity?
